Background

I started off helping my grandmother cook, we used to have an old wooden stool made by her father that I would stand on assisting her. I used that stool to help her while she explained our history and tradition of food through our Black & Native American culture. She taught me about hospitality through cooking for family and friends and being prepared to have guests at any moment.

Culinary Philosophy

I can say my grandmother is the biggest reason why I got into cooking but seeing the enjoyment on everyone's face is what keeps me going.

While starting in 2015, I decided to launch my official business Twinkies Kitchen in January 2023. 

A lifelong hobby finally became a reality
